Technological devices are the new "windows" through which we view and frame reality. I question the boundaries between the natural world and the virtual reality, by placing and weaving one within the other.
INSTALLATION 2015
slide mounts with analogue photo slides
In the era of analogue photography, holidays pictures were captured inside the photo slides. Today these clichè romantic landscapes are displayed in our desktops.
This work is a reflection on the development of technology and on how we depict nature.

INSTALLATION 2015
freash leafs inside slide viewers
Fragments of nature placed inside old slide viewers.
The light and the lense of the devices enlarge and
enriches the structures and the textures of the leafs.

VIDEO INSTALLATION (projection) / PHOTO PRINTS, 2015
My vision of nature is been strongly influenced by the recurring pictures of beautifull landscapes that are often used as screen savers or as desktop backgrounds. Any time I walk in a beautifull natural environment, I begin to feel as if I was wandering inside a screen. In this work I beamed the computer desktop onto the landscape to "recreate" the vision of the screen and play with the sense of scale. This work is thought both as of a site specific projection in a natural environment where people can walk through, as well as photo prints.
